Maybe not all that concise, but very useful. Covers the post-BAPCPA rules and approach in some detail, hitting on the major elements of the law, and providing deeper insights into two sample 7 and 13 case studies. Covering a lot of (consumer bankruptcy) law ground, the book is a useful reference and good overview. Highly recommended.
I bought this book when the casebook for my bankruptcy law course was confusing me more than it was helping me. This hornbook was great! I wasn't sure which one to purchase, as there are several bankruptcy hornbooks available. I had an Elements of Bankruptcy book that my professor had recommended, but it was pretty useless. I found The Principles of Bankruptcy Law to be clear in its explanations of the bankruptcy concepts.The book goes into detail of what it expects will be on your bankruptcy exam, and it skims through what you will not likely be tested on. I found the organization of the book and its use of examples and hypotheticals to be helpful.I would definitely recommend this book to anyone taking a bankruptcy law course, especially if you're using the casebook by Adler, Baird, and Jackson.

What exactly is a concise hornbook? For an easy to follow introduction to Chapter 11 reorganizations, I really like Attorney Alderman's book: Chapter 11 Business Reorganizations: For Business Leaders, Accountants And Lawyers. A book that I think come closer to the depth of a hornbook, I recommend Professor Martin's BookThe Glannon Guide to Bankruptcy: Guide to Bankruptcy (Glannon Guides) or Professor Blum's Bankruptcy and Debtor/Creditor: Examples and Explanations (Examples & Explanations).
As best as I can tell, identical to the Nutshell, but $10 more. Same font, layout, and content. A little disappointed, though the nutshells are not bad - but may as well save $10 when you can.
This book was the ONLY reason that I got an "A" in Bankruptcy. Seeing as the text that we used that impossible, I found it indispensable.
